Oh, I loved that nice kitty! I'm glad I got to meet him on that sunny summer day. I come to NC twice a year for the low-res M.F.A., so maybe I'll get a chance to meet the new one. :)

I LOVE that you got a pic of our kitty! (I work at Arbor Lodge as do my mom and uncle) Unfortunately, though, he's no longer with us, but we just recently adopted a new one. The one you have a pic of was so special, though, because he actually had a visible "NC" on his side which we always knew he grew that fur like that on purpose to stand for Nebraska City! :)

I had your father as a teacher at University of Wyoming. I didn't know that he was a poet, but I love his writing.

You have a mix of his thinking, but with a exotic twist. I love your conversations with your mother and excerpts about Laramie and Cheyenne.

I would love for you to teach a class at UW. I would definitely try to attend especially if it was a short summer school.

Do you find that you can write more when your mind is occupied with work or when your time is free?
Make time for a photograph as well as for composition but they aren't the same, not really. What defines an image in front of you and the one in your mind you are trying to capture?

Anne: The bottle designs were priceless! I think the designers for Gee, My Hair Smells Terrific perhaps went on to design those late-90s Magenta Geo Trekkers. Just saying. (And I used to braid my hair at night after swim practice . . . the braids a little bit *crunchy* always from the chlorine.)

Lysbeth: Super sassy!

Al: Never. :)

Lemon Up! I'd forgotten about that stuff. I loved it, and it had a plastic lemon for a cap.

I liked Body On Tap too, back in the days when I would wash my hair at night, braid it in six tight braids, and unbraid it in the morning so it was frizzy and bouncy. Oh, 1978.
